Thank you for your cheerful comment.

The Twitter account of the applicant who got the Fulbright is

In fact, we have not had face to face meeting; however, I am convinced that he is very clever and highly motivated. I recommend you to follow him to know what he thinks about studying abroad and getting scholarship. It will help you differentiate among applicant of scholarship programs.

Thank you for your considerate message.

Your advice is valuable for me. And I would like to know the Twitter written by the applicant who got the Fulbright.
And even though you and I are in different situations, we have the same purpose; to go to graduate school and to enhance ourselves.
So let’s go for it!

Best regards.

Thank you for your comment!

Because I am a government sponsored applicant, I have not applied to any scholarship program; however, I can understand your apprehension about the tuition, which is far more expensive than that of Japanese universities. I know an applicant for class of 2014 who got the Fulbright, so if you are interested in Fulbright, I can provide his username on the Twitter.

Because I heard that Japanese self-sponsored applicant faces difficulty to get accepted recently, I recommend that you try to get any scholarship to show that you can finance tuition and that you are competent enough to get such a scholarship.

Best regard,

Congratulations!
I am also a Japanese man who is studying TOEFL to go to graduate school in the U.S.
Sometimes I watch this web site. And I am happy to hear that you were able to attain the goal in GMAT. I hope that you will get 109 scores in TOEFL in the near future.
By the way, I have one question.
What scholarship did you get? Fulbright, or 日本学生支援機構 or your company’s original?
College tuition is one of the biggest distresses for me. So I’m looking for various scholarships.
If you are able to tell me it, could you teach me the scholarship that you got?
Warmest regards.

Got 700 and 107!

Recently, I am very happy because I could get better scores on TOEFL and GMAT.

In this week, I took GMAT for the forth time and got just 700 (V34 Q50), which is my original goal of GMAT. In fact, I had studied very hard since end of November to get over 700 on GMAT, so when I saw 700 on the PC screen at the test center, I could not believe it. While I took the test, problems became easier and easier as I progressed, which I thought was the sign of bad score considering the nature of CAT testing system; however, I overcame the fear and concentrated on the test ,and then got just 700. Of course this is a small improvement from my previous best score (total 690) and the subsection score is the same as that time (V34 Q50); however, the difference of feeling between 690 and 700 is not so small especially for MBA applicants. I happily reported my updated scores to schools I already applied.

Furthermore, I also receive very good news from ETS that my latest TOEFL score was 107 (R30 L26 S23 W28). Considering my previous best score (total 105), it is also a tiny improvement; however, 2 points around this score is big enough for me to proud of it. There remains only another 2 points to get over 109, so I will continue to improve my English skills especially listening and speaking skills.

Anyway, scores are just scores and is not all to get offers. I will elaborate my Essays and prepare hard for interview, which I hope to have in January. If I get betters scores or get good news from schools, I will share about it as much as possible.
