自由の風が吹く場所で ~Letter from Stanford~
2012年秋からStanford GSBにて新たなチャレンジが始まります!
I’m very proud of Japanese National soccer team which won the asian football championship. Japan faced a lot of difficult matches in this championship such as against Korea, Qatar and Jordan. I think these difficult matches were good opportunities for Japan to improve their relationship among team mates and staffs, which eventually led Japan to win the championship. Although Japan had a lot of problems such as injury of Kagawa and Matsui, who are very important player in the team, weak defense line and lack of stamina to continue running all the match, they overcame them and won each matches. Every matches were dramatic like novel or movie. I suspect that most of Japanese soccer fans thought Japan would lose the match against Jordan and Qatar; however, they did not lose the match. Moreover, the match against Korea was the most difficult. I did not imagine such a dramatic result; Japan won the match after PK match by 3-0. In the PK match, Japanese GK, Kawashima, played a amazingly well; he stopped two kikker and did not allow them to get any gaol. In fact, Qatar where was the place the championship was held was the place Japanese have trauma that Japanese National team lose the final match against Iran due to a goal in added time and lost the ticket to attend the France world cup, so this success in Qatar allows us to forget the painful history. Congratulations!
